However, Alphabet, Intel respectively smashed past our downside targets
Well, we did expect an "action packed" week for Oct 26-30!
Going into this past week, we highlighted multiple short-term trading opportunities across assets:
Fri, Oct 23rd: Gold
Ended the trading week (closing price, Fri, Oct 30) just 0.7% below $3900 downside target - close enough.
Mon, Oct 26th: Oil, EURUSD, and the NAS100 index.
2 of these 3 fully respected our targets (see more below).
Tue, Oct 27th: 5 stocks - Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, Intel, and Sandisk.
3 of these 5 stocks - except GOOGL and INTC - performed as expected (see more below).
Here's a recap of how our featured assets performed in a week that featured key rate decisions by the Fed and the ECB, and also earnings out of over US$ 11 trillion worth of US tech/AI stocks:
NAS100 index respected 30k resistance, then fell to 3-month low
On Mon, Oct 26th, we wrote: "NAS100 to sink to 3-month low?"
Answer = YES ✅
By the end of the week, the NAS100 had fallen to its lowest levels since end-July.

Perhaps more importantly, amid the big price swings ...
The NAS100 respected both our upside and downside price targets for the week.
Here's what we also wrote on Mon, Oct 26th:
UPSIDE: "The NAS100 index could test resistance at ... 30k psychological level ..."
DOWNSIDE: "The NAS100 index could falter to the 28,200 round number and hit levels not seen since end-July (3 month low) ..."
This past week, the NAS100 did both!
Wed, Oct 28th: resisted at 30k level before tumbling back down
Fri, Oct 30th: fell to its lowest levels in 3 months.
In other words, 30k was just about as good as it got for "bulls" (those hoping prices will go up), while 28,200 was just about as good as it got for "bears" (those hoping prices will go down).
This demonstrates that traders who had used our forecasted targets as "take profit" levels would have likely sealed profits.

EURUSD+ respected downside target
On Mon, Oct 26th, we wrote: "EURUSD to post new 17-month low?"
Answer = YES ✅
On Thur, Oct 29th, EURUSD hit an intraday low of 1.11047 - its lowest prices since May 2025, surpassing its previous intraday low set on Oct 14th, 2026.

Perhaps more importantly ...
On Oct 29th, EURUSD+ got within 0.04% (not 4%) or 47 ticks/baby pips/pipettes of our 1.1100 downside target.
Now that's what we call "respect" = prices did not stray far from our target.
Microsoft perps hit new ATH and finds support around 50-day SMA - as expected!
On Tue, Oct 27th, we wrote: "Microsoft (MSFT) to post new ATH ...?"
Answer = YES ✅
On Wed, Oct 28th, MSFTUSDT hit a fresh all-time high right after its earnings release!
However, that new record high proved short lived, as the stock then tumbled back down amid a broader selloff across US tech/AI stocks.

Perhaps more importantly, amid the big price swings ...
Microsoft fulfilled both our upside and downside trade scenarios for the week!
Here's what we also wrote on Mon, Oct 26th:
DOWNSIDE: "MSFT slides toward ... added support potentially around its 50-day simple moving average (SMA) ..."
In other words ...
Traders who had used our forecasted targets as "take profit" levels would have likely sealed profits ...
... whether to the upside to an all time high above $556, or to the downside with support around its 50-day SMA.
Amazon respects downside target set on Oct 27th
On Tue, Oct 27th, we wrote:
After releasing its earnings on Thursday, Oct 29th, Amazon stocks plummeted to as low as $214.29 - its lowest intraday prices since April, hitting a near-7-month low, far beyond the 3-month low we'd expected.

Perhaps more importantly, amid the big price swings ...
Amazon then ended the day (Thur, Oct 29th) around $227, before rebounding!
Now that's what we call "support" = prices rebound/go back higher after hitting that "floor"/support level.
In other words, traders who had:
anticipated AMZN to fall post-earnings
used our forecasted downside target of $227.00 as the "take profit" level
... would have likely sealed profits that would otherwise have been erased by the subsequent rebound.
Sandisk ended trading week less than 1% away from downside target
On Tue, Oct 27th, we wrote:
After releasing its earnings on Thur, Oct 29th (after US markets closed) ...
SNDK sank and hit the $1159.50 mark, ending the trading week a mere 0.93% away from that forecasted downside target - close enough!

In the name of transparency, not all of our featured assets adhered to our forecasted scenarios.
Gold ends trading week <1% below target set on Fri, Oct 23rd
On Fri, Oct 23rd, we wrote:
After Fed Chair Kevin Warsh refused to shut the door on more US rate hikes in December and into the new year ...
Spot gold ended the week at $3875.90 - just 0.7% below the $3900 downside target we'd set a week ago.

Alphabet and Intel smashed past respective downside targets!
The sharp declines in these stocks exhibited the sheer risk-off moves across US equities, as market concerns about AI overspending were only amplified by lackluster earnings reports.

Still, it's a reminder that traders can still potentially profit even when prices fall - by going "short" on the asset and tapping on the "Sell" button first.
