Disclaimer: Bybit TradFi has been renamed to Bybit CFD as of July 2026. Bybit CFD is powered by Infra Capital (Mauritius FSC licensed). Your instruments, fees, leverage and open positions are unchanged. |
Bybit gives you access to gold, forex, stocks, indices and commodities — all from the Bybit App, without needing a separate brokerage account. These traditional financial assets are available through a dedicated TradFi tab in the Bybit App's bottom navigation bar.
Inside the TradFi section, two products are available. TradFi Perpetuals (listed under Futures) are Bybit-native perpetual contracts on traditional assets — no separate account needed, uses your existing Unified Trading Account (UTA), trades 24/7. CFD (formerly called 'TradFi') gives you access to 400+ instruments with up to 500x leverage on forex, powered by Infra Capital through a dedicated MT5 CFD Account.
Key takeaways
TradFi has its own dedicated tab in the Bybit App's bottom navigation bar.
The TradFi section contains two products: TradFi Perpetuals (under the Futures sub-tab) and CFD (under the CFD sub-tab). They use different accounts and suit different trading needs.
You can trade forex, gold, stocks, indices and commodities — all using USDT-based collateral, without holding the underlying asset.

How to access TradFi on the Bybit App
TradFi has a dedicated tab in the Bybit App's bottom navigation bar. Tapping it brings you directly to the TradFi trading interface without going through the Trade section first. This makes both TradFi Perpetuals and CFD faster to reach than before.
Tap TradFi in the bottom navigation bar. This opens the TradFi trading interface.
Tap the TradFi icon in the bottom-right corner to open the TradFi Introduction panel for an overview of both products.
Select a sub-tab: tap Futures for TradFi Perpetuals or CFD for the CFD product.
Getting started: account setup
For TradFi Perpetuals (Futures)
No additional account is needed. TradFi Perpetuals run on the same infrastructure as Bybit's crypto perpetuals and use your existing Unified Trading Account (UTA). If you already trade crypto perpetuals on Bybit, the margin system, order interface and position management are identical.
Complete KYC verification (Level 1 or above).
Accept the TradFi risk disclosure — a one-time step on first access.
For gold (XAUUSDT) or silver (XAGUSDT): accept the metals risk agreement — a separate one-time step.
Ensure your UTA holds sufficient USDT for your intended margin.
For a complete product guide, see What are TradFi Perpetuals on Bybit.
For CFD
CFD requires a dedicated MT5 CFD Account. This is a one-time setup that takes a few minutes and is linked to your existing Bybit login — no separate Bybit account is needed. Once created, you can trade CFD directly in the Bybit App, on the Bybit website or through the MetaTrader 5 desktop client.
For a full overview of the CFD product, read What is Bybit CFD.
Complete KYC verification (Level 1 or above).
Tap TradFi → CFD → Apply to create your MT5 CFD Account.
Transfer USDT or BYUSDT from your Bybit account into the MT5 CFD Account. Your balance will display as USDx at a 1:1 ratio with USDT.
How to trade stocks and indices on the Bybit App
Stocks and indices are the most popular TradFi instruments on Bybit right now. You can trade them through both products in the TradFi section.
Via TradFi Perpetuals (Futures)
Tap TradFi → Futures. Browse stock perpetuals such as TSLAUSDT or NVDAUSDT, or index perpetuals like SPXUSDT under the Perpetual tab. Set direction, leverage and size, then confirm. Perpetuals trade 24/7, so you can react to after-hours earnings or weekend developments without waiting for markets to open.
Via CFD
Tap TradFi → CFD. Select Indices (S&P 500, Nasdaq, Dow Jones and others) or Stocks (Tesla, Apple, Nvidia and more). Place a Buy or Sell order in lots. CFD stock trading follows market hours (Monday to Friday) with up to 5x leverage on individual stocks.
How to trade gold on the Bybit App
Gold can be traded through either product in the TradFi section.
Via TradFi Perpetuals (Futures)
Tap TradFi → Futures. Tap on the pair (e.g. XAUUSDT) under the Perpetual tab to open the trading screen. Select Long or Short, set leverage and enter your position size. TradFi Perpetuals trade 24/7 — including weekends. Accept the metals risk agreement on first access.
For a detailed guide to trading gold on Bybit, see How to trade gold and silver on Bybit.
Via CFD
Tap TradFi → CFD→Metal.
Search for XAUUSD.s under the Metal tab and open the trading screen. Place a Buy or Sell order using lots. CFD gold follows market hours (Monday to Friday).
Tip: CFD gold follows traditional market hours. TradFi Perpetuals trade 24/7 — including weekends and public holidays. If you want to react to a macro event or geopolitical development that moves gold prices over a weekend, the Futures sub-tab gives you that access without waiting for markets to reopen on Monday.
How to trade forex on the Bybit App
Forex is available via the CFD product. CFD gives you access to major, minor and exotic currency pairs — including EUR/USD, GBP/JPY and USD/TRY — with up to 500x leverage on major pairs. Orders use standard lot sizes and trading follows market hours, Monday to Friday.
1. Tap TradFi → CFD→ Forex.
Tap on the trading pair to find forex under the CFD tab. Open the trading screen.
2. Browse or search for your preferred currency pair.
3. Set order details: direction (Buy/Sell), quantity in lots or value in USDx, order type (Market or Limit) and optional TP/SL.
4. Tap Buy or Sell to confirm the order.
How to trade commodities on the Bybit App
Commodities are accessible through both TradFi products, giving you flexibility to choose based on leverage preference, trading hours and account type.
Via TradFi Perpetuals (Futures): Tap TradFi → Futures.
Tap on a trading pair under the Futures tab to open the trading screen.
Browse commodity perpetuals such as crude oil under Perpetual. Set direction, leverage and size, then confirm. Perpetuals trade 24/7.
Via CFD: Tap TradFi → CFD.
Tap on the trading pair to find commodities under the CFD tab. Open the trading screen.
Select commodities (crude oil, natural gas). Place a Buy or Sell order in lots.
What changed for existing TradFi users
If you traded using the product previously called TradFi on Bybit, here is a precise summary of what changed and what remained exactly the same. No action is required for existing positions or open orders.
What changed:
Navigation: TradFi now has its own dedicated tab in the bottom navigation bar (previously accessed via the Trade section).
Product name: The product previously called 'TradFi' is now called CFD.
Account name: Your TradFi Account is now your MT5 CFD Account.
New product added: TradFi Perpetuals (under the Futures sub-tab) — a Bybit-native product that uses your UTA.
What stayed the same:
All instruments, leverage levels, spreads and fee structures.
All existing positions and available trading funds.
The overall trading experience for CFD — same pairs, same execution, same platforms.
The bottom line
The Bybit App now gives you access to gold, forex, stocks, indices and commodities through a single TradFi tab. Two products sit inside that tab: TradFi Perpetuals (Futures) for 24/7 access using your existing UTA, and CFD for the broadest instrument selection with up to 500x leverage and professional-grade tools. Both run from the same tab and use USDT-based collateral — no separate fiat accounts or brokerage arrangements needed.
