How To Claim LAYER Airdrop For sbbSOL Holders

When you stake Solana (SOL) on Bybit, you receive Bybit Staked SOL (bbSOL), a liquid staking token that allows you to maximize returns while keeping your SOL staked. bbSOL can be used in multiple ways, such as providing liquidity in pools in exchange for trading fees and incentives, using it as collateral, trading on decentralized exchanges (DEXs) and centralized exchanges (CEXs), and restaking it for additional rewards. Now, if you have restaked bbSOL on Solayer and received the receipt token, sbbSOL, you can claim the airdrop for Solayer’s governance token, LAYER.

Key Takeaways:

• LAYER is the governance token of Solayer and native token of Solayer’s InfiniSVM.

• Explore our step-by-step guide to find out how you can claim the LAYER airdrop if you have restaked bbSOL for sbbSOL on Solayer.

What Is LAYER?

LAYER serves both as the governance token of Solayer — a hybrid proof-of-authority (PoA) and proof-of-stake (PoS) restaking protocol native to the Solana blockchain — and the native token of Solayer’s InfiniSVM, the first 1MM TPS network in the world. LAYER token holders can participate in governance by voting for protocol upgrades and key ecosystem initiatives.

Solayer has announced additional utilities for LAYER, transforming it into a comprehensive utility token within the ecosystem. It will function as a gas token for on-chain transactions and as reward for users who stake LAYER to help secure the Solayer blockchain.

LAYER has a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens and an initial circulating supply of 210,000,000, distributed as follows:

• 51.23% – Solayer community and ecosystem

• 17.11% – Core contributors

• 16.66% – Investors

• 15% – Solayer Foundation
